We love chalk, we love Nike Chalkbot…

Chalking the roads is a Tour de France tradition. Spectators write messages of encouragement to their favorite riders. The Nike Chalkbot was a way to take this positive message even further. It brought the roads of France to everyone. By sending a message to the Chalkbot through SMS, web banners, Twitter or WearYellow.com, people around the world were able to make their mark in yellow. Over the course of a month, the Chalkbot gained over 4,000 followers on Twitter, received over 36,000 messages and printed thousands of them over 13 stages of the Tour de France.

Vintage Advertising Posters Discovered in London Underground Subway Station

Work at Notting Hill Gate Station station has recently uncovered these amazing advertising posters in non-public areas and that date from c1956 – 1959 when the station’s lifts were removed and replaced by escalators. These are in an old lift passageway. You can view the full Flickr set here

Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney won at the D&AD Awards in London, with its UN Voices Project, using posters!

People around Sydney are encouraged to take a mobile phone photo of the featured person’s mouth and send it to a number on the poster as a text message. Then using digital image recognition technology and an Australian first call back service, the sender receives a return phone call with a pre-recorded message from the person they have photographed, giving a brief insight into how they live and highlighting some of the issues they face.
